Long Exposure Photography Course
For those who have already been on our introductory course we offer a half day on long exposure photography. This style of photography is often used on water to make it look milky or to create light trails in a photo taken at dusk. We have ND filters that work with many models of camera that we can lend you to enable this style of photography. Or we can have a look at your camera model and let you know what filters are available.
Macro Photography Course
We are passionate about macro photography, where you get up close to your subject and record extreme detail. We offer a half day on Macro and can lend you a lens to try it out if you have a Nikon or Canon camera. This can be studio based with flowers and interesting objects to photograph, and we can usually find an insect or two in the garden. Flash Photography Course
Many photographers, perhaps the majority, are still unsure when it comes to utilising the full possibilities of flash with their photography, mainly because they don’t know how to use it properly. Using a flash off camera allows you to move the flash to any place you choose so you can control the light and shadows. It can help you produce really high grade images and can actually be a bit of fun too. The initial introductory course is designed to make flash less intimidating. We’ll talk about light and controlling it, we’ll cover the technicals, the kit and power levels, but in a way that you will become comfortable to then discuss it with others. Basically, we will remove any fears and replace them with a desire to want to use flash a lot more! Quite honestly, the applications and possibilities with flash photography are endless. More advanced courses are available depending upon your needs.
Lightroom Tuition
Nearly all the images you see published on line and in magazine have been edited, so unless you edit your images they will not have quite the impact of those you are viewing elsewhere. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is our preferred editing package and we offer tuition to help you get going on it. We can do this face-to-face or virtually and charge £25 an hour.
